1. General Provisions
1.1. These Rules establish the terms and procedure for conducting the “Refer a Friend” promotion (hereinafter, the “Promotion”) at the Barev Armenian Language School (hereinafter, the “School”).
1.2. The Promotion is intended to reward current and former students of the School who recommend the School to their friends or acquaintances (each such student hereinafter referred to as the “Referrer”), as well as new students who enroll through such a recommendation (each hereinafter referred to as the “Friend”).
1.3. Participation in the Promotion is voluntary. By participating in the Promotion, each participant confirms that they have read and understood these Rules and fully agree to them.
1.4. Information about the Promotion and the current version of these Rules is posted on the School’s website and/or in the student’s account (online dashboard), and may also be communicated to participants by other means at the School’s discretion.
2. Promotion Participants
2.1. Referrer Eligibility: The following individuals are eligible to participate as a Referrer in the Promotion:
2.1.1. Any current student of the School who has an active student account and at least one paid course or package of lessons.
2.1.2. Any former student of the School, provided they finished their studies no more than 12 (twelve) months prior to inviting the Friend.
2.2. Friend Eligibility: An individual may participate as a Friend in the Promotion if they meet all of the following conditions:
2.2.1. First-time Student: The individual has never previously studied at the School and has not had any paid orders under their name, phone number, or email address.
2.2.2. Sign-up with Invitation: The individual registers and enrolls in the School, and during sign-up or at the time of the first order, indicates that they were invited by a Referrer (by using the Referrer’s link or promo code) in accordance with Section 3 of these Rules.
2.3. No Dual Role: The same person cannot act as both the Referrer and the Friend under the same referral invitation.
3. Participation Terms and Invitation Procedure
3.1. Referral Invitation: To participate in the Promotion, a Referrer receives a personal referral link and/or promo code (hereinafter, the “Invitation”) that is tied to their user account at the School.
3.2. Sharing the Invitation: The Referrer may send or share their Invitation with an unlimited number of potential Friends by any lawful means (messaging apps, email, social networks, etc.), except for methods explicitly prohibited by these Rules.
3.3. Steps for the Friend: In order to participate in the Promotion, a Friend must complete all of the following steps:
3.3.1. Use Referral Link or Code: Follow the Referrer’s personal referral link or enter the Referrer’s promo code when filling out the application/registration form or when placing their first order.
3.3.2. Purchase a Lesson Package: Enroll in and pay for a package of 4 (four) individual lessons at the School (hereinafter, the “Package”).
3.3.3. Attend a Lesson Promptly: Attend at least 1 (one) of the individual lessons from the purchased Package within 10 (ten) calendar days from the date of purchase.
3.4. Correct Use of Invitation: If the Friend fails to correctly apply the Invitation when purchasing the Package (for example, if the referral link was not used, the promo code was not entered, or an error was made), the School reserves the right to refuse to award the bonuses due to the inability to technically establish the referral connection between the Friend and the Referrer.
3.5. Multiple Referrals: A Referrer can invite an unlimited number of Friends. Bonuses are awarded for each Friend who fulfills the conditions in Clause 3.3 of these Rules, provided that the limitations in Section 5 are not violated.
4. Bonuses – Award and Use
4.1. Bonus Awards: When a Friend has met all the conditions specified in Clause 3.3 of these Rules, the following bonuses are granted to the participants:
4.1.1. Referrer’s Bonus: $15 (fifteen US dollars) is credited to the Referrer’s personal account balance at the School.
4.1.2. Friend’s Bonus: $10 (ten US dollars) is credited to the Friend’s personal account balance at the School.
4.2. Nature of Bonus Funds: The bonus funds credited to a participant’s account:
4.2.1. Do not constitute electronic money, cash, or any form of legal tender.
4.2.2. Are internal units of the School that may be used only for partial or full payment of future services of the School, as determined by these Rules and/or the School’s public offer (service agreement).
4.3. Timing of Bonus Credit: Bonuses are credited within 10 (ten) calendar days after the following conditions have been met:
4.3.1. The Friend has paid for the Package in accordance with Clause 3.3.2 of these Rules; and
4.3.2. The Friend has attended at least 1 (one) individual lesson from the purchased Package within 10 (ten) calendar days of the payment date.
4.4. Notification of Bonuses: Information about the credited bonuses is displayed in the participant’s student account and/or communicated by other means (for example, via email or by an administrator) at the School’s discretion.
4.5. Using Bonuses: The following rules apply to the use of bonuses earned through the Promotion:
4.5.1. Eligible Services: Bonuses may be used toward the payment of those School services which are designated by the School as eligible for bonus use. The list of such services is determined by the School and published on the website and/or in the student account.
4.5.2. Payment Limits: The School may impose a limit on the portion of a service that can be paid with bonuses (for example, no more than 50% of the service’s price per transaction). The specific limit, if any, will be indicated on the School’s website and/or in the student account.
4.5.3. No Cash or Transfer: Bonuses have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to a bank account or card, or redeemed for physical currency. Bonuses also may not be transferred to another person, except in cases explicitly allowed by the School.
4.5.4. Expiration of Bonuses: Bonuses credited under this Promotion are valid for 3 (three) calendar months from the date they are credited. After this period, any unused bonuses will expire (be forfeited) and cannot be reinstated.
5. Limitations and Bonus Denial/Cancellation
5.1. Grounds for Disqualification: The School will not award bonuses – or may cancel bonuses already awarded – in any of the following cases:
5.1.1. Conditions Not Met: The Friend did not fulfill one or more of the conditions specified in Clause 3.3 of these Rules (e.g., the Friend did not attend any lesson from the Package within 10 days of purchase, or the Friend paid for the Package but later canceled the order and/or received a refund).
5.1.2. Existing Student: It is determined that the Friend had previously studied at the School or had any paid orders/subscriptions under the same phone number, email address, or other identifying information, indicating that they are already an existing or former student of the School.
5.1.3. Self-Referral or Collusion: It is discovered that the Referrer and the Friend are actually the same person (self-referral), or that they are close relatives acting in concert with the intent to abuse the Promotion’s terms (as determined by the School based on available evidence).
5.1.4. Multiple Accounts: Multiple accounts or registrations by the same individual (using different phone numbers, email addresses and/or other data) are detected, indicating an attempt to receive the Promotion bonuses multiple times.
5.1.5. Prohibited Promotion Methods: The Referrer distributed or advertised the Invitation through paid advertising, mass messaging (spam), or any other methods that violate law or harm the School’s reputation (including, but not limited to, running ads targeting the School’s brand or sending unsolicited bulk communications).
5.1.6. Violation of School Policies: The Referrer or the Friend has violated the School’s general rules of study, the School’s service agreement (public offer), or any other internal policies of the School.
5.2. Dispute Resolution: In case of any disputes regarding the awarding of bonuses, the decision will be made by the School at its sole discretion, based on its analysis of the information available.
5.3. Final Decision: The School’s decision to award or not award bonuses is final and not subject to appeal or review, except in the event of an obvious technical error that is demonstrated by the participant and acknowledged by the School.
6. Promotion Duration and Rule Changes
6.1. Promotion Period: The Promotion is held during the period specified on the School’s website. If no specific end date for the Promotion is indicated, the Promotion will be considered ongoing for an indefinite period until the School announces its termination.
6.2. Right to Modify or Cancel: The School reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to unilaterally:
6.2.1. Change Terms: Modify the terms of the Promotion and these Rules at any time (including, but not limited to, changes to bonus amounts, conditions for awarding or using bonuses, and the list of services eligible for the Promotion).
6.2.2. Suspend/End Promotion: Suspend or terminate the Promotion at any time.
6.3. Effective Date of Changes: Any changes to the Promotion or these Rules take effect from the moment the updated version of the Rules is posted on the School’s website, unless a different effective date is specified by the School.
6.4. No Retroactive Effect: Changes to the Promotion or Rules are not retroactive. Any changes will not apply to interactions or rights that arose before the changes took effect, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the updated Rules.
7. Final Provisions
7.1. Governing Terms and Law: For all matters not expressly addressed in these Rules, the provisions of the School’s public offer (service agreement) and other internal documents of the School shall apply, in addition to the applicable laws in force.
7.2. Consent to Data Processing: By participating in the Promotion, the Referrer and the Friend consent to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the School’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
7.3. Prevailing Language: In the event of any inconsistency between these Rules and any advertising or informational materials about the Promotion, the provisions of these Rules shall prevail.
